Secure European Truck Parking Operational Services (SETPOS) is a pilot project that has been initiated by the European Commission - Directorate General for Energy and Transport (DG TREN). SETPOS is responding to the growing concern about attacks on high value cargo and vehicles, coupled with the lack of adequate rest facilities for drivers. SETPOS therefore recognises that the establishment of secure truck parking sites and associated information services is becoming increasingly important to help reduce crime and improve driver working conditions.
